Rio Ferdinand's short-term thigh injury will see him miss international duty with Fabio Capello's England, as well as Manchester United's home clash against Arsenal, but the roaming centre-back has made public his hope that he is fully fit for the club's trip to Tottenham Hotspur on September 12.
Ferdinand has been sidelined since United's Community Shield match against Chelsea, but is quoted by the club's official website as giving a self-prognosis of being fully fit in a fortnight.
